Bleu Lavande Introduces a New Stunning Location
Visit the new lavender farm and attractions at Bleu Lavande
Bleu Lavande announces a new lavender farm location and visitor attractions, including installation by Montreal’s Moment Factory. New, unique, and completely reinvented spaces, Quebec brand Bleu Lavande is busy getting ready for visitors to their new lavender farm in Magog, Estrie. They’ll be ready to (safely!) welcome guests at the end of May 2021.
The new lavender grove, conveniently located just a few minutes from Highway 10, will be open year-round to allow visitors to experience the fields against the backdrop of changing seasons. In addition to the new space, Bleu Lavande is revamping the tourist experience to include culinary, nature, and wellness offerings – there will be an engaging activity for everyone to enjoy!
THE GREAT OUTDOORS AT BLEU LAVANDE
In warmer months, visitors can wander the trails and join guided tours to learn the ins and outs of pollination and lavender cultivation. This sensorial experience is available for a limited time, as the flowers will be harvested in the fall!
Outdoor experiences:
- A ‘gourmet bike’ will crisscross the trail offering snacks and lavender beverages prepared by suppliers in the region. From energy bars from Roland Michon to lavender brownies from Pâtisserie Chez Dorville in Eastman, epicureans will have something to make their taste buds sing
- Picnic area
- Relaxation area
- Gardening space where Bleu Lavande’s horticulturists share the secrets for caring for lavender at home
- Workshop space for charming activities like lavender bagging
Massages will also be offered from Thursday to Sunday from mid-July to mid-August at an additional cost.
INNER PEACE
The Bleu Lavande experience continues indoors with opportunities for visitors to learn more about the company’s history and values. They’ll get to learn about the lavender oil distillation and drying process, see the bagging and drying in progress, and enjoy Bleu Lavande’s artisanal soap factory (some of the brand’s bestsellers).
Indoor experiences:
- The boutique onsite will sell Bleu Lavande products as well as local and eco-friendly products from the Estrie region, leaving visitors with beautiful souvenirs of the experience
- Immersive space in collaboration with Moment Factory
BLEU LAVANDE x MOMENT FACTORY INSTALLATION
Visitors can immerse themselves in Chromatic Fields / Champs Chromatiques, a one-of-a-kind installation created in collaboration with Montreal-based multimedia entertainment studio Moment Factory.
Inspired by the movement of wind to move twigs and pollinate the flowers, every guest has a role to play in growing the virtual lavender field – guests’ movements will summon the elements to rise and fall, bringing the space to life with blooms. The surrealist and multisensory space invites participants to dive into the vibrant colour, sound, and movement of an infinite field of lavender.
