Your Nighttime Skincare Routine for a Glowy Look
Here is a simple skincare tutorial that you should follow before going to bed.
Makeup can show you the immediate result after a few steps, but skincare does not work that way. Skincare requires your time and effort in practicing the routine for the product to nourish your skin. While facial care sounds a bit tedious to some people, it is essential to maintain a youthful appearance. Here is a minimized seven-step nighttime skincare tutorial for beginners.
Step one: Remove makeup
First, let’s remove the makeup with an oil cleansing balm from Clinique. It is a must-have step because this product will eliminate makeup, sunscreen, excess oil, and dirt on your face.
Wash your face with warm water to emulsify the balm that will dissolve the makeup. Massage your face again using an upward motion.
Step two: Cleanse your face
Next step in the skincare routine is to use a foaming cleanser. This product is from Clinique, which helps remove all the oil balm left on the skin.
Both steps one and two are to make sure that all the makeup and dirt are removed. This process is called double cleansing, which keeps the skin smooth, vibrant and clean.
Step three: Add an exfoliating product to your skincare routine
Daily Microfoliant from Dermalogica will exfoliate all dead skin cells to bring back a brighter and smoother facial texture.
Add the product to your palm, about half of a teaspoon, then mix it with some water to form a creamy paste. Massage the mixture all over the skin, and then rinse off thoroughly with water.
In a skincare routine, exfoliating the skin regularly helps other treatment products in the upcoming steps absorb deeper into the skin.
The product contains salicylic acid that helps fight against breakouts. It is also gentle enough for daily use.
Step four: Use a treatment serum for a glowy skin
When the skin is clean and fresh, it’s time to apply a treatment product.
GeneXC Serum from iS Clinical helps prevent aging, protect your skin from free radical damage, brighten, and produce more collagen and elastin. Take 4-5 drops into the palm and apply all over the face and neck and then gently tap your face until all the product is fully absorbed.
Step five: Hydrate the skin with a mask product
To help the serum’s nutrients go deeper into the skin, apply Neotrata Bionic Oxygen Recovery Mask on top. Use this mask 2-3 times a week to provide the skin with immediate hydration.
Massage a generous layer of the mask on the skin and wait for 6-7 minutes. The bubbles on your skin deliver molecular Oxygen, to energize and re-balance stressed skin. After 6-7 minutes, rinse with cool water.
Step six: Don’t forget moisturizing
A thin layer of moisturizing will ensure that your skin is hydrated all night while sleeping. CeraVe Hydrating Lotion is lightweight like air and gentle for every skin type.
However, if you have very dry skin, it is better to use a cream moisturizer in your skincare routine. Lift & Firm Y-Zone Deep Remodeling Night Cream from Lise Watier is a powerful product that enhances firmness and elasticity. It works best for those who have skin concerns such as signs of aging, dullness, and uneven texture.
Both products absorb quickly into the skin without leaving greasy feelings.
Step seven: Apply eye cream
Neostrata Hydra Filling Eye Gel-Cream is an anti-aging product formulated with Hyaluronic Acid and Polyhydroxy Acids (PHAs) to deliver plumping moisture to the eye contour area. Use your ring finger to apply the product gently.
