A tutorial on how to remove Grub or “uninstall” Grub boot loader from Linux a vista computer that had a dual boot with a Linux OS or if you just want to remove grub and have a vista install CD laying around
–Uninstall/Remove Grub From/With Vista–
-Boot Vista install CD
-Selece languege, kebord..ect
-Hit intall
-hit Recover options on bottom of intall screen
-then select command promp
-type the following in command promp and hit
hit enter
Bootrec.exe /FixMbr
-Then type this command too and hit enter
Bootrec.exe /FixBoot
– after each it should say operation complete
-close command promped….then reboot
-Done
Personally I had this problem with Sabayon Linux when i removed the partition the Grub was still there and i could not boot my vista unless i reinstalled it so i poked around and found this way to fix it.
